The Village of Monroe, Ohio was founded in 1817 by John H. Piatt and Nathanial Sackett. The U.S. Census Bureau showed the population as 7,133 in the last census taken in 2000. It is now estimated that the population is around 10,000. Monroe is continuing to grow each year. Monroe is conveniently located between Dayton, OH and Cincinnati, OH and offers easy access to I-75.
